If you think you're delivering a Tech only Project, you're wrong

Tech goes live. Nothing changes. Why?

The impact? Tech goes live but the business doesn't change. Adoption is low. Outcomes are diluted or go missing.

I've led project turnarounds where the focus has been on tech and not people, and every time I start by asking a few critical questions:

👉 𝐖𝐡𝐞𝐫𝐞 𝐡𝐚𝐬 𝐛𝐮𝐬𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐬𝐬 𝐯𝐚𝐥𝐮𝐞 𝐛𝐞𝐞𝐧 𝐝𝐢𝐬𝐜𝐨𝐧𝐧𝐞𝐜𝐭𝐞𝐝 𝐟𝐫𝐨𝐦 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲?

Has the original goal been lost in the noise of features, sprints and deliverables

👉 𝐇𝐨𝐰 𝐚𝐫𝐞 𝐬𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐡𝐨𝐥𝐝𝐞𝐫𝐬 𝐢𝐧𝐯𝐨𝐥𝐯𝐞𝐝, 𝐞𝐧𝐠𝐚𝐠𝐞𝐝 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞𝐝?

Are your sponsors present but passive? Are teams unclear on the "why"

Do your product owners and developers actually understand what success looks like for the business

And then I go deeper. I look at stakeholder dynamics, decision clarity, business vision and team trust. 

👉 𝐀𝐫𝐞 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐦𝐞𝐚𝐬𝐮𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐝𝐞𝐥𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐲 𝐦𝐢𝐥𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐨𝐧𝐞𝐬 𝐨𝐫 𝐛𝐞𝐡𝐚𝐯𝐢𝐨𝐮𝐫 𝐜𝐡𝐚𝐧𝐠𝐞?

Implementation doesn't equal adoption. I look at usage, outcomes and business value.

In stalled projects and programmes, it's common to find misalignment that doesn't show up in reporting. I look for real risks and disconnects, beyond just RAG status.
