Post-Mortems won't save your project

Post-Mortems or Lessons Learned are useful if run properly, of course, BUT they won't save your project.

We've normalised learning lessons after delivery, after the damage, after the failure.

But what if there was a better way?

Take 15 minutes during your project to check in with key members and ask one simple question:

"What's the one thing that would make this project run smoother for you right now?".

Why this matters:

Without mid-project reviews, small issues become major blockers. Team frustration builds, rework multiplies, people disengage and deadlines sliip.

BUT if you catch the issues early and fix them immediately, you can course-correct your project.

Don't wait until the project is over to learn your lessons.
